The Story
The Indianapolis Zoo wanted to create an unforgettable visitor experience by allowing guests to watch penguins swimming directly beneath their feet. The challenge required a structural glass flooring system that delivered exceptional transparency while safely supporting thousands of visitors every day.
TCG Glass supplied Crystal Clear GRIT laminated glass flooring panels that provide outstanding clarity with the structural performance required for a public attraction. The result is an immersive exhibit where guests of all ages can observe rockhopper, gentoo, and king penguins gliding through the water below, creating one of the zoo’s most memorable interactive experiences.
