Custom Bubbleino® cast glass transformed the ING Direct office into a brighter, more inviting workplace while providing privacy between public gathering spaces and adjacent work areas. The distinctive circular texture softens views through the glass, allowing daylight to travel throughout the interior while creating visual separation without the heaviness of opaque walls.



Rather than relying on traditional partitions, the design uses a continuous wall of decorative cast glass to define spaces while maintaining an open, collaborative atmosphere. As lighting conditions change throughout the day, the Bubbleino® texture captures and diffuses light, creating constantly shifting reflections and subtle visual interest. The result is a functional architectural feature that balances privacy, transparency, and modern design in a corporate environment.

The Story

Corporate environments are increasingly designed to encourage collaboration while still providing areas for privacy and focused conversation. For ING Direct’s Minnesota office, architects sought a solution that would divide spaces without sacrificing the openness and natural light that define a modern workplace.


TCG Glass manufactured a custom wall of Bubbleino® cast glass, a signature texture distinguished by its raised circular forms suspended within the glass. The handcrafted texture gently obscures views while allowing light to pass freely, creating comfortable gathering spaces that feel connected rather than isolated.


Installed as a continuous architectural partition, the cast glass wall became far more than a functional divider. Throughout the day, changing daylight and interior lighting animate the textured surface, producing shifting reflections and subtle visual depth that bring energy to the space. From a distance the wall provides privacy, while up close the intricate Bubbleino® texture reveals the craftsmanship and character unique to cast glass.
