Hyatt Portland
Antique Mirror on an Architectural Scale
Custom antique mirror transforms the interior of the Hyatt Portland, creating dramatic reflective walls that add depth, warmth and character throughout the space.
Individual mirror panels were fabricated and assembled into large-scale installations, allowing the distinctive mottled antique finish to become an integral part of the architecture. The aged surface softens the reflections while beautifully complementing the surrounding wood, brass, stone and warm lighting.

The Story
At the Hyatt Portland, custom antique mirror was used on a dramatic architectural scale, transforming expansive walls into richly textured reflective surfaces.
Rather than the crisp reflection of conventional mirror, the intentionally aged finish creates layers of mottling and variation across each panel. The effect adds depth and movement while reflecting the surrounding wood, lighting, furnishings and architectural details in a softer, more atmospheric way.
Installed as large multi-panel compositions and integrated into the surrounding millwork, the antique mirror becomes part of the architecture itself—bringing warmth, character and a sense of history to the contemporary hospitality interior.
